9th International MDM2 Workshop:
The p53 protein is an important tumor suppressor in human cancer. A majority of human tumors have sustained missense mutations or deletion in the Tp53 gene. MDM2 and MDMX are negative regulators of p53 that promote ubiquitination and inhibit the transcriptional activities of p53. Drugs that target MDM2, MDMX, and p53 are in development or clinical trials. The International MDM2 Workshop is a meeting series held every two years since 2001 that brings together investigators in the p53 field to report latest findings, establish collaborations, and exchange reagents.
The 9th International MDM2 Workshop, organized by investigators from the Moffitt Cancer Center, will be held on November 4-7, 2018 at the historic Don CeSar hotel on beautiful St. Pete Beach, Florida, U.S.A.
